Last minute preparation tips for KVPY 2019!
This year the exam will be held on 3rd Nov 2019. After the Written exam, a Personal Interview will be held, and based on the joint score of Test and Interview, the final merit list will be announced.
Syllabus till X/XII respectively will be asked depending upon your class of study. You need to keep in mind that clarity of concepts is very important for KVPY preparation.
For XI SA preparation, PCMB, all subjects hold equal importance.
For SX/SB preparation, any 3 subjects are important(PCM/PCB). Out of these, 2 should be extremely strong. For Biology, NCERT is must.
Remember that KVPY relies less on memory and more on application of concepts. The more problems you solve, the more familiar you will be with strategies for applying the right formula in exam.Note that KVPY exam has enough time to solve questions. So, don’t hurry, maintain accuracy and avoid loosing marks on account of negative marking.
Subjects wise, Physics is generally tough, Chemistry is moderate, Maths is moderately tough and Biology is easy. Strong problem solving skills and concept clarity is needed to crack this exam.
