Time Management Techniques for Competitive Exam Aspirants
The following techniques may help you manage your time better and plan your studies as per an effective time table :
● Assess the syllabus- First of all, be familiar with the complete syllabus of the exam you are preparing for. You have to not only complete your syllabus, but also keep sufficient time for the revision too.
● Make Achievable Goals- Be clear about your target and set realistic goals to be achieved, both short term and long term.
● Priortise subjects and topics- You have to cover the complete syllabus and focus on all subjects. So manage your time accordingly so that sufficient time is allocated to every topic depending upon its weightage in the exam.
● Allocate study slots as well as break time- It can’t be all work and no play. Downtime is also required to process your studies effectively. So, keep room for that too.
● Be organised and effective- Only making a time management chart is not going to serve the purpose. You have to implement it in an organised way to bring out its effectiveness, and not change it frequently.
● Regular Revision Your time table should be such that it incorporates time for review and progress of your learning. You will have to keep time available for Integrated revisions also from time to time.
● Be flexible- If there are any unforeseen circumstances, you have to keep room for that too. So, follow the deadlines in normal circumstances, so that you have extra time at hand, if required.
